Now: March 2022

An update to my /now page about what I've been up to lately.

My first NOW Page!

🚧 Building Ideas:

I am revisiting my daily workflows and looking at areas to implement more automation. For example, I'm building multiple Siri Shortcuts to automatically open corresponding meetings notes when I join meetings. (Thanks to the sweet setup for the Idea).

πŸ‘¨πŸΌβ€πŸ’» Learning:

I'm dipping my toes into the world of No code. After years of procrastinating in building my portfolio, I'm currently in the process of doing it. The key was making it for myself rather than others (I'm still building it around the target users and uses cases). Webflow University tutorials are AMAZING. Best tutorials out there. I'm also trying to learn more about Crypto and DeFi; still much to learn.

πŸ‹πŸΌβ€β™‚οΈ Fitness:

Apart from continuing my regular weight training at the gym, we bought for Christmas a new MYX Body bike, trying to integrate more cardio into the routine. So far, it's been great!

πŸ“± Apps I’m Trying:

Obsidian  – I've always considered that if I used Craft Docs there was no need to use Obsidian; the app seems to be the best ap for PKM and general writing as Federico Vittici regularly chares. What brought me to finally try it was its markdown features. For writing the Case Studies and pages like this one, I did want to write them directly in Webflow. I can also copy/paste directly into Webflow and tools like Grammarly with Obsidian from my writing app.

Castro & Overcast – I'm still going back and forth between apps. I would go with Castro as the mental models of the app are more in line with how I think about podcasts, but its lack of iPad and Mac supports always gets me back to Overcast.

Pocket Cast, after the recommendation of Brian Lovin.

πŸ“š Stuff I’m Reading:

I'm still working through the Star Wars High Republics main series. Currently finishing The Fallen Star by Claudia Gray. I've decided to give a break to Self Improvement books; next up in Queue is Rich Dad, Poor Dad

And here are a couple of great articles I read over the last couple of months: Writing with Obsidian by David Hoang, My Annual Budgeting Process

πŸ“Ί Things I'm Watching:

The Book of Boba Fett  – Sooo good! The show was over the place, but I enjoyed it as a fan.

How I Met Your Father  – So far, it's been meh. My wife and I are big fans of the original HIMYM, and maybe our hopes were too high for this one.

The Originals  – We are trying to catch up with this just so we can have more context when watching Legacies.

Others I’m watching: Sabrina, Blackish, Only Murders on the Building

πŸ‘Ύ Playing:

Pokemon Legends Arceus / Switch  – Currently enjoying the new mechanics and great design, hoping they bring this unique catching and open-world to new pokemon in the future.

Master Duel / iOS  – Growing up a fan of the Trading Card Game, it's a fantastic game for the nostalgia factor.

🎡 On Heavy Rotation:

I'm a big music stations fan, so I usually listen to the same Pandora stations for background music(Apple Music Station API is not the best). Apart from that, I keep regularly updating Workout/Favs Playlist on Apple Music.

Charli xcx

/Dawn FM/ by The Weeknd  – So listenable! I don't have a favorite track yet, but I've listened to the whole album multiple times. It's excellent in the background.

Thanks to Orlando Marty's and Dingus Now pages that served as an inspiration to get started on the categories.
